Suarez Bites Again

What is wrong with this human being?
I mean, what is wrong with this cannibal?
Who goes around biting people?

SUAREZ ‘THE CANNIBAL’ RETURNS
It was only supposed to be an encounter for Chelsea to regain 3rd position and Liverpool to at least finish in the top 7 teams for the Europa League. Instead, it turned out to be a feast for Suarez, literally. While Liverpool was still 2-1 down, Suarez bit Branislav Ivanovic in his right arm during the second half of the match. Ivanovic showed referee Kevin Friend where he had been bitten, but Suarez escaped unpunished because apparently he did not see the incident.

However, the clubs shared the spoils as it ended 2-2.Instead of Suarez praised for scoring the equaliser, he was criticized for his bite on Ivanovic.

For someone who was recently named on the Professional Footballers’ Association (PFA) Player of the Year shortlist, he sure gives a bad name to football, and certainly does not deserve to be on the list, let alone win it.

What was said about the incident?
"Having reviewed the video footage and spoken to Luis, his behaviour is unacceptable and I have made him aware of this," said Reds manager Brendan Rodgers.

Unfortunately, Rogers pointed out the incident involving Torres and his elbow on Carragher, and he received a yellow card for it.
Besides, that is a minor challenge. How can you compare an elbow challenge with a biting incident? That’s so petty! I’m not even surprised, it has Scouser behaviour written all over it.

It seems Benitez did not want to comment about the bite.

I don’t blame him, with it being his first return to Anfield since his departure in 2010.

Moreover, it was the 24th anniversary of the 96 who died in Liverpool and Anne Williams.

Football analyst Mark Lawrenson said, "What Luis Suarez did has absolutely no place in football and he is going to get - and deserves - an extremely lengthy ban … You cannot bite people anywhere, let alone on a football field. It is the type of thing you do when you are a baby. He's a world-class player but he gives you world-class trouble.”

It’s Not the First Time
Sunday was not the first time that Suarez took a bite out of a player, it was his second. The first time, he was still an Ajax Amsterdam player, in 2010. Suarez bit PSV Eindhoven footballer Otman Bakkal in their Dutch clash. This is what he had to say: "No, I do not regret what happened. Normally I always keep calm but I didn't... I'm a little tired. This week I had to travel a lot."

Suarez’s Controversies
February 2007
International debut for Uruguay against Colombia but sent off after being shown a second yellow card for dissent.

November 2007
Joined Ajax then suspended after a half-time dressing-room altercation with team-mate Albert Luque.

July 2010
During the 2010 World Cup quarter-finals, prevented Ghana's Dominic Adiyiah from scoring in the final minute with a deliberate handball on the line and was subsequently sent off. A penalty was awarded but missed by Asamoah Gyan and Suarez celebrated on the sidelines.

November 2010
Seven-match ban for biting PSV Eindhoven midfielder Otman Bakkal.

Suarez’s Liverpool Controversies
October 2011
Following his move to Liverpool in January 2011, he was involved in a tackle with Everton's Jack Rodwell and goes down with apparent minimal contact. Rodwell was then sent off.

December 2011
8 match ban and £40 000 for racially abusing Patrice Evra.

Was seen making an offensive gesture towards Fulham fans. At this time he had already been charged by the Football Association over the racism incident, although not yet punished, but was handed a further one-match ban for the gesture.

February 2012
Suarez refused to shake hands with Patrice Evra at Old Trafford.

October 2012
Celebrated a goal against Everton by diving in front of Toffees boss David Moyes who had earlier claimed that "divers" such as Suarez were putting fans off the English game.

November 2012
Accused of stamping on Dave Jones at Wigan Athletic.

January 2013
Handles the ball prior to scoring Liverpool's winner in the FA Cup third round tie at Mansfield.

April 2013
Took a bite at Branislav Ivanovic on the arm but escapes punishment on the pitch as the referee failed to see it.

What Next For Suarez?
At Anfield alone, Suarez has faced 6 controversies, including the one that took place on Sunday.
Hopefully the FA will hand him a huge fine and a lengthy ban and by lengthy ban I’m thinking somewhere around a year, maybe even a lifetime ban. Who said Joey Barton is the only one who deserves 12 match bans. Suarez should’ve been on the 12 match ban a long time ago.

With such a large number of bad publicity, giving himself, Liverpool and football a bad name, will this lead Liverpool to get rid of Suarez in the summer?

Yesterday Suarez said this on Twitter:
"I've just spoken to Ivanovic on the phone and I could apologise directly to him. Thanks for accepting."

Suarez was fined by Liverpool, and they decided that his fine will be handed over to a charity.

Okay, he apologised, but why did he do it?
